CLUB EXECUTIVE TRAINING: EXEC ACADEMY

 

Exec Academy is the official training program for all club executives.

It runs twice a year, just before Wollongong Campus Orientation Sem 1 and Sem 2.

 

WHY attend exec training?

  • Learn about your role and responsibilities.

  • Understand UniClubs processes (events, funding, forms).

  • Build leadership skills you can use beyond uni.

  • Meet and network with other club leaders.

  • Free Lunch!

 

We are currently working on providing the following resources – 

  • Online training modules you can complete anytime
  • Downloadable themed guides and resources for event planning & handling grievances

WHAT'S REQUIRED?

  • Every club must send at least 2 executives to Executive Academy each year.

  • If your club does not attend, you may not receive club funding OR UOWx recognition

WHAT IS COVERED IN TRAINING?

Executive Academy is the training program for club executives. It runs once each semester and covers:

  • Exec roles and responsibilities
  • How to run events
  • Funding and finance
  • Leadership and networking

At least two executives per club must attend one Executive Academy each year. This is required to keep your club eligible for funding.

Yes! All executives are encouraged to join. It’s a great opportunity for skill building, even if attendance isn’t compulsory.

Your club may lose access to UniClubs funding until the requirement is met.

No. Executive Academy is free for all UniClubs executives

Yes. If you step into a role after elections, you are encouraged to attend the next available Executive Academy.

The core content stays the same, but guest speakers and professional development activities change each semester.

Yes. UniClubs is developing online modules and downloadable content for extra flexibility. More info coming soon.

Yes. Executives must register through Rubric to secure their spot.
